Frequently asked questions

  • Our retreats are open to folks (18+) who are looking for rest, connection, and intentional time for themselves. You do not need to be from NJ, PA, or MD to attend our trips!

You don’t need any prior experience with yoga, hiking, or wellness practices—just an open mind and a willingness to take care.

to note: this is a wellness retreat, not therapy or a replacement for therapy

  • Unfortunately no - our retreats are open only to new participants who are not currently receiving clinical services from Take Care Collective. This helps keep the retreat space focused on connection and growth among new attendees.

  • We keep our retreats intentionally small and intimate, usually between 10–15 participants.

This allows for deeper connection, a sense of community, and plenty of space for rest.

  • Totally! Lots of people come solo. Our retreats are designed to be welcoming, so you’ll fit right in—whether you’re looking for new connections or some solo time to recharge.

  • Absolutely! We build in plenty of downtime so you can rest, journal, explore, or just do your own thing between group activities.

  • Your retreat cost covers lodging, most meals (retreat specific), guided activities (like yoga, workshops, or hikes), and all retreat programming.

You’ll just be responsible for your own travel to and from the retreat location and any extras you’d like to bring.

  • Travel to and from the retreat, personal purchases (like souvenirs), and any optional extras outside of our scheduled programming.

  • We know investing in yourself can feel big! From time to time we offer early-bird pricing, payment plans, or occasional promotions to make our retreats more accessible.

Bringing a friend is also a great way to save some money and ensure you have a great time. Group (2 or more ppl) discounts are always available.

Keep an eye on our newsletter and Instagram for announcements, or reach out if you’d like to talk about options.

  • We’ll share a retreat-specific packing list before each trip, but in general we recommend bringing comfortable clothing, layers for changing weather, and personal items that help you feel at home—like a journal, reusable water bottle, or anything that supports your rest and relaxation.

  • We understand that plans can change!

Cancellation policies vary by retreat, so we’ll provide all the details when you register. Typically, the closer you are to the retreat date, the more limited refunds or credits may be—but we’ll always work with you as best we can.

  • Yes. All participants are required to review and agree to our Release, Assumption of Risks & Binding Arbitration Agreement prior to travel. This is a mandatory step to ensure your safety and our shared understanding of the adventure ahead.

  • For international trips, travel insurance is required. For all other trips, it’s highly recommended to help cover unexpected changes, delays, or emergencies. We suggest World Nomads, but you can choose a provider that works best for you!

  • We want everyone to feel comfortable and cared for!

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions, allergies, or special needs when you register so we can do our best to accommodate you.

  • Booking is easy! Simply contact our team via email (takecaremh@gmail.com) to reserve your spot.

We require a deposit at the time of booking, with the final payment due at an agreed upon date (depending on payment plans).

Early booking is recommended, as our trips often sell out.
